There are no words to describe Messi, he always surprises you.” – Angel Di Maria. Nowadays, the soccer world is divided into two major pieces. Some people believe that the striker of the Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo, it the greatest player ever. However, the others are determined that Messi, the super-skilled player from Argentina who plays in Barcelona since the beginning of his career, is the God of the soccer. For making a right decision in this phenomenon we should analyze and compare the trophies, statistics and skills of this two amazing players.

Lionel Andres Messi has started to break some records since his first soccer season. In the 2004-05 years when he was only 17 years old, he became the youngest player and goal scorer in the Spanish La Liga, which is the country’s highest division. During his career he has won 35 trophies, while Cristiano Ronaldo has only 28. Lionel Messi’s trophies are the followings: four times Champions League winner, ate times Spanish champion, three times UEFA Super Cup, five times Copa Del Rey winner, seven times Spanish Cup winner, ate times Super Cup winner and Under-20 World Cup champion in 2005. Both of the players have the same number of Ballon D’Ors. Each of them five times has got awarded for the world’s best football player.

The greatness of Leo Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo is more obvious when we analyze the games when this players have played against each other. The games between rivals Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are called El Clasico. Lionel Messi is the top scorer of this competition, he has scored 26 goals which is ate goals more than Cristiano Ronaldo. Moreover, Messi has won 17 El Clasico games and has made 14 assists ( goal passes), while Ronaldo has won 8 games and has made only one assist.
